Free Swim Program for Granville Refugees and Migrants
CASS representatives have recently attended the press conference on a “free swim program for Granville refugees and migrants”. This initiative is funded by the Berejiklian Government.
Minister for Multiculturalism Ray Williams, Minister for Emergency Services Troy Grant and representative of the Royal Life Saving Society attended the conference and announced that this free swim program for Granville refugees and migrants will help about 250 adults to complete ten swimming lessons each, while also providing professional development for instructors.
Minister for Multiculturalism Ray Williams said the program is important to make sure migrants are safe at the waterways. Minister for Emergency Services Troy Grant also said that community participation and education is vital for reducing drowning numbers in NSW.
